Introduction to my final report on Tangier (in progress)
For the final product of my Fulbright research, I intend to write a detailed, comprehensive article on the current growth of Tangier, from historical, economic, social, and urbanistic perspectives. The document above is the introduction of my report, which I am currently in the process of completing.

'Linguistic policy during the French Revolution: Unification and contradiction through the "language of liberty"' (December 2007)
This paper, which looked at attempts by French revolutionaries to eradicate the numerous regional dialects in France, was written for Professor Matthew Ramsey's seminar on the French Revolution at Vanderbilt. It was awarded the Henry Lee Swint Award for the best undergraduate history paper at Vanderbilt.

'Escape from Lebanon' (fall 2006)
This article recounts my experience evacuating from Lebanon in the summer of 2006 after war broke out between Israel and Hizballah. First published in Vanderbilt's Versus Magazine, it later appeared in three other publications. Thanks to Ellen Tremaine, who edited the article.
